An invitation to a Star of My Party event is an exploration in imagination. Your child and friends star in their own movie. The birthday boy/girl chooses a theme beforehand. We provide the camera, movie set, script, wardrobe and fun!

Q. Is there a recommended age?
This event is best for children 6 years of age or older; ages 8 and older enjoy the more complex themes the most. Participants need to be able to take direction on the portable movie set, keep quiet during shooting and tolerate a costume for at least two hours.

Q. Is a deposit required?
We do require a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 at least 2 weeks prior to the party date to hold your booking, except for custom parties, which require a 50% deposit. We currently accept cash and checks. Checks should be made payable to "Alutna Productions." Due to the cost and time commitment of the event, we cannot provide a credit or refund if you have fewer than 8 guests. You can now place your reservation with us using PayPal!

Q. How far will you travel?
We serve the Phoenix greater metropolitan area. (Peoria, Glendale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Ahwautukee, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills) We may request compensation for having to drive more than 30 miles/45 minutes from North Scottsdale, our home base.

Q. How long does the party last?
One Star of My Party session takes between 2 and 3 hours if all guests arrive on time. During this time, we assign acting roles and crew positions, do wardrobe, rehearse the scenes and videotape the movie. After filming, there is a mini-awards ceremony for the cast and crew. We need access to the shooting area at least 1/2 hour before shooting for preparation time and setup.

Q. Is the preparation time included in the session?
No, the preparation time is not included as part of the session. We require 1/2 hour to set up and an area that measures 20' by 30' for the movie set. Unfortunately we cannot prepare the space (move furniture, clean) beforehand; it must be cleared and ready when we arrive. During the spring and summer months, all spaces MUST be air-conditioned (garages can not be used.) We cannot do outdoor locations, due to the noise and light conditions.

Q. Are the parents allowed to watch?
Absolutely! The actors and crew need your support during the shoot and for the awards ceremony. During actual videotaping, there must be quiet on the movie set.

Q. How long does it take to receive the completed movie?
10 to 14 business days after the date of the scheduled party.

Our Policy: Star of My Party assumes no responsibility or liability for accidents, losses, or damages. Star of My Party strives to provide the best of services for our clients. In the event of the occurrence of an accident, loss or damages, the financial responsibility lies solely with the client. An agreement will be provided by the Star of My Party hostesses upon arrival at the party location.
